Study of the Relationship of Lipid Profile, BMI and Blood Pressure among Non-diabetic Hypertensive Patients - A Hospital Based Study

Introduction: Several research have demonstrated the connection between lipid levels, diabetes mellitus (DM), and hypertension, but none focused specifically on association levels essential hypertension in Nepal's non-diabetic population.
 Aims: To study relationship profile, body mass index (BMI), blood pressure (BP) nondiabetic hypertensive Methods: A hospital-based cross-sectional was conducted among 150 participants. Anthropometric measurements including height, weight BP were taken. Blood collected serum vial for profile [total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) low high density lipoprotein (LDLC HDLC)] after an overnight fasting.
 Results: 44.7% female, 55.3% male with age ranging 28-80 years. Among 48.67% of overweight participants, 56.8% male. 25.33% obese, which 52.6% 56% participants had systolic (SBP) ≥140 mmHg 58% diastolic (DBP) ≥90 showed no significance gender. Borderline TG level observed 76.2% SBP 74.7% DBP mmHg. HDLC vs gender significance. a significant LDLC TC. The BMI not significant.
 Conclusion: Dyslipidemia is prevalent individuals. majority overweight, however did correlate presumably because other anthropometric characteristics better predictive values than BMI.
